Mullan is in
Shoshone County about five miles west of the Idaho-Montana border on I-90. This small historic community, in addition to beautiful hiking trails and mountain streams, boasts a fine public library, Olympic size swimming pool, historical museum and award winning elementary and secondary school. Many sites around the city of Mullan were used in the filming of the movie, Dante's Peak.
The town boasts "the only drive-up post office in the United States."
