Murray Idaho

One of the small towns near Kellogg that thrived during the silver boom years, Murray lies on Pritchard Creek Road, and on the creek itself.

Many colorful characters are buried in the town's historic cemetary, including Captain Toncray, thought to be the inspiration for Mark Twain's character Huck Finn.

Murray was the home of Molly B'Damm, a colorful madam who also cared for the town's miners during a scarlet fever epidemic.

Murray is in Shoshone County.

Comments: There seem to be unexpected weather towards evening. Housing costs have soared since a few years ago. This spot has plenty of helpful people serving in restaurants. Often traffic seems hectic. Our family visited here a couple months back. For some fine exhibits, check out Spragpole Museum. You won't be disappointed.
