Shoshone Falls

The Snake River echoes with thundering crash of Shoshone Falls, the "Niagara of the West." White water plunges over 212 feet, 52 feet more than Niagara, bathing the area in a cool mist.

October through April are the best times to view the falls, because water is held back upstream for irrigation during the summer. Take Blue Lakes Blvd in Twin Falls to Falls Avenue, then go three miles east and two miles north.
