Thomas Corrigan Park |
Corrigan Park is located in downtown Soda Springs right alongside Highway 30. It is a pleasant spot to stop and have lunch. While there, you can visit the Galloping Goose and the Dinky Engine, two locomotives that have a part in the history of the town. The park also features tennis courts, basketball courts, and baseball diamonds.
Galloping Goose. Between 1922 and 1936 this engine provided the only means of transportation for phosphate mine workers and others, between Soda Springs and the town of Conda.
Dinky Engine. This miniature locomotive played a major role in the history of Caribou County. It hauled supplies to the dam to build the Alexander Resevoir.
