	Weiser

Named after Sgt Peter Weiser (wee-zer) of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, the town is a gateway to Hells Canyon, the deepest gorge in North America.

On US 95 north of Payette, Weiser is the county seat of Washington County.

Walter "Big Train" Johnson, considered one of the greatest pitchers in the history of baseball, came from Weiser.
