The 128-acre Willow Bay Recreation Area is located just northeast of the American Falls city limits, along the scenic American Falls Reservoir. The recreation area has paved roads to the boat ramps and is easily accessible off I-86 by taking Exit 40 and following the Hwy 39 bypass for about a half mile and turning right on Marina Rd.
The Willow Bay Recreation Area serves as a year-round gateway to over 88 square miles of water-based recreation activities, and features watersports of all kinds from water skiing, swimming and fishing, to sailing, windsurfing, scuba diving and para sailing.
Wildlife viewing, picnicking, sunbathing, camping, walking, jogging, inline skating and biking are popular in summer.
