Hospice of North Idaho is a non-profit, Medicare- certified hospice serving Kootenai, Benewah, and Shoshone counties. It is a freestanding hospice governed by a community board of directors. Hospice of North Idaho was created in November 1981 and began providing services in January 1982. It currently provides care to over 300 patients and their families each year. Service is provided regardless of reimbursement or the ability to pay.
