Come visit Alto Vineyards Winery in Alto Pass, located in the rolling hills of southern Illinois' Shawnee National Forest, just a mile from Bald Knob Cross.

Browse through their vineyard and taste the award winning wines. It will be clear to you then that Illinois' wines can "compete with the best of them." The fact that Alto Vineyards has won over 150 medals in international competitions in the last 10 years certainly attests to that.

Alto Vineyards' wines are made from distinct French/American hybrid grapes which include dry, semi-dry, and sweet wines, covering the spectrum of whites, blushes and red wine styles.

In addition to their wide selection of wines, Alto Vineyards also sells gifts, local crafts and a fine array of quality cheese.
