Antioch is located in northeastern Illinois in
Lake County northwest of
Chicago about 2 miles from the Wisconsin state line along Highways 83 and 173 northeast of
Grass Lake and
Chain O' Lakes State Park.
Local annual events include Arts and Craft Faires in mid-June and just after Labor Day as well as the 4-day "Taste of Summer" festival usually held around the 3rd weekend in July.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 7,923, an increase of 1,818 since 1990.
