Antioch is located in northeastern Illinois in Lake County northwest of Chicago about 2 miles from the Wisconsin state line along Highways 83 and 173 northeast of Grass Lake and Chain O' Lakes State Park.Local annual events include Arts and Craft Faires in mid-June and just after Labor Day as well as the 4-day "Taste of Summer" festival usually held around the 3rd weekend in July. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 7,923, an increase of 1,818 since 1990.
