Chicago's only Croatian restaurant, is tucked away on Western Avenue near Bryn Mawr, in a neighborhood dominated by historical Rosehill Cemetery and a number of car dealerships. Tables are set outside Caf Croatia among cheerful flower planters during warmer months. To really appreciate the food in the proper surroundings, it's best to pass through the smoky bar in the front of Caf Croatia to the charming upper level. This cozy inn-like setting is decorated with linen table cloths, china table settings, and folksy wood carvings and paintings on the walls.
