This museum details the history of Civil War Gen.
Gen. John A. Logan, who was born in 1826 in
Murphysboro. Phases of Logan's life are depicted and include his early education in
Randolph County; years as a laywer and later congressman and spokesman for the
South Region; his military career during the Civil War; and his senatorial and vice presidential political campaigns.
