Gilman is located in eastern Illinois in western
Iroquois County 25 miles south-southwest of
Kankakee and 35 miles north-northeast of
Champaign just east of
Interstate 57 along U.S. 24/45. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,848, an increase of 32 since 1990.
