Originally established in 1945 as Thomas Jefferson College, Roosevelt University is located in Chicago, Cook County, IL, and has an enrollment of about 7400. Student housing is available for 290. A sister Campus is located in Schaumburg. Among noted dignitaries to serve on the early advisory board were Pearl Buck, Ralph Bunche, Albert Einstein, Thomas Mann and Albert Schweitzer. Offering 126 degree Programs, Roosevelt is divided into five Colleges--Arts and Sciences; Business; Education; Performing Arts and the University College. The latter offers degrees such as Hospitality and Tourism Management (BA and MA) and the Lawyer's Assistant Program (Paralegal Certificate).
