University of Saint Mary of the Lake

University of Saint Mary of the Lake is located in Mundelein, Lake County, IL, and has an enrollment of about 200. Student housing is available for 210.

The Seminary has a long, though temporarily broken, history. Founded in 1844 in conjuction with St. Mary's College, the Seminary continued until 1866 closing due to financial difficulties.

It reopened its doors in 1921 and has been a viable institution since. The curricula called for a six year commitment to attain the Doctor of Theology.

Today the Seminary grants the Master of Divinity and the Doctor of Ministry as well.
