Kinmundy is located in south central Illinois in
Marion County about 35 miles north-northeast of
Mt. Vernon along Highway 37 and about 5 miles northwest of 3,100-acre
Stephen A. Forbes State Park. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 949, an increase of 70 since 1990.
