Lake Forest is located in northeastern Illinois in Lake County south of Waukegan on the shores of Lake Michigan. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 19,128, an increase of 1,292 since 1990.The town is home to Barat College, Lake Forest College and Lake Forest Graduate School of Managemen. All are four-year institutions of higher learning.
