Lake Murphysboro State Park

With its principal attraction a man-made lake totaling 145 acres, Lake Murphysboro State Park, just west of Murphysboro in southern Illinois' Jackson County, draws anglers in search of largemouth bass, sunfish, crappie and channel catfish. It contains many wooded areas among its 1,000 acres.
