Situated in Roselle, a suburb of Chicago, in a grand old Victorian house is the Lynfred Winery. Fred Koehler, a self-taught winemaker earned National recognition in 1985 when his wines bested 303 others, including top California bottlings, in a Reno, Nevada judging. A new 24,000 square foot addition recently was completed, in addition to winemaking there is a tasting room, and four bed and breakfast suites for overnight guests.
