Maywood is located in northeastern Illinois in
Cook County just north of
Interstate 290 and about 5 miles east of
Interstate 294.
One of the local attractions here is harness racing at Maywood Park. Racing is done from the first of July through December 31 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
