With overwhelming support from the community, ground was broken for Paris Community Hospital in 1968.
November 9, 1970 marked the official opening of the hospital in its present location. Paris Community Hospital is licensed for 49 beds and is accredited by the JCAHO.
In 1996, Paris Community Hospital completed a major expansion and renovation project to include the Family Medical Center.
