Founded in 1895, Silver Cross has evolved from a 33-bed not-for-profit hospital into a world-class health care network serving not only Joliet and the Will County area but also many suburbs of southwest Chicago. Today, Silver Cross has a medical staff with more than 350 physicians representing over 50 specialties, employs over 1,500 professionals, technical and support personnel and has more than 550 volunteers.
