Maranatha Assembly Of God held its first service in 1978 at the Orlando Hotel in downtown Decatur. It is inspired by Scriptures and declares His design and plan for mankind. The mission is to go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Sunday school, morning worship services, and world missions are conducted. Classes for children and nursery care are also available. Ministries for men, missionettes, nursing home, royal rangers, women, food pantry, and youth are part of the activities.
