Olive Branch is located in southern Illinois in Alexander County about 15 miles northwest of Cairo and 5 miles inland from the Mississippi River and 5 miles west of the Cache River along Highway 3.Recreational opportunites surround the town. Shawnee National Forest lies just minutes to the north, Horseshoe Lake State Park minutes to the south and Union County SFWA about 15 miles to the north and east of Highway 3/146.
