Onarga is a small community of about 1,300 people located in eastern Illinois in
Iroquois County about 30 miles south-southwest of
Kankakee along U.S. 45 just east of
Interstate 57. Recreation in the area includes outings to Shagbark Golf & Country Club, a 9-hole course which is open to the public.
