Vajrayana Buddhist Center was founded by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 1997 as a non profit organization and a member of the New Kadampa Tradition. It offers meditation classes throughout the Chicago area, including Sunday services. The Center has grown into a mature and active meditation center offering regular introductory classes in Oak Park, Lakeview, Evanston, Palatine, and Palos Heights.
