Selby Township Library, serving an area of 2,500 residents, has a collection of 12,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 189 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 880 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $10,000. Patrons make 15,400 visits annually, and check out materials 12,000 times. Thirty-three percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
