Scovill GC is a public par 71, 18-hole course located on
Decatur's west side just east of
Interstate 72 and south of U.S. 36.
The back tees measure 5,900 yards and are rated at 67.8 with a slope of 119 while the middle tees are set to about 5,250 yards with numbers of 65.5 and 112. The forward tees play at 4,950 yards with 65.5 rating and a 112 slope. Ladies and novices playing the red tees play a course that is 4,300 yards long and rated at 64.8 and 108.
The course was first opened in 1926 as Sunnyside Country Club and was given a facelift in 1992. It is the annual host for the Decatur Junior Open which has a 500-player field. In addition, the final round of the Men's City Ameteur Championships.
The course is open from March 1st through November 30th.
