The Spitler Woods State Natural Area is located in central Illinois in Macon County about 5 miles southeast of Decatur near Mt. Zion.

This 202.5-acre nature preserve is a Class "Y" (youth) camping area where picnicking and hiking are encouraged. Drinking water and toilets are on site but electricity is not.
