Stonewolf is a Jack Nicolas-designed public 18-hole course that opened in 1996. It earned early accolades as the "#1 Public Golf Course in the St. Louis Area" (
Golf Digest) and "The #2 Best New Upscale Public Course in the United States and Canada" (
GD 1997). Some of the course features include five sets of tees, zoysia lined fairways and tees, about 70 bunkers and traps with water affecting play on eight of the holes.
Men's ratings/slope/yardage numbers are: Black tees, 74.0/141/6,950; Gold, 72.0/136/6,550; Blue, 70.1/132/6,150 and White, 68.3/128/5,750. Ladies play to a 67.2/126/4,850.
