Strasburg

Strasburg is located in central Illinois in Shelby County just southwest of Mattoon along Highway 32 near Lake Shelbyville and the Kaskaskia River. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 492, an increase of 19 since 1990.

Nature lovers enjoy the Hidden Springs State Forest and Hidden Springs State Park which are located southwest of town. In addition, the town is only minutes from Lake Shelbyville and Wolf Creek State Park to the northwest and Lake Mattoon to the east.
