Troy

Troy is located in Madison County about 20 miles east of St Louis and the Mississippi River along SR 162 south of Interstate 70 and north of U.S. Highway 40. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 7,670, an increase of 1,476 since 1990.

Nearby recreation includes trips to Carlyle Lake, Eldon Hazlet State Park and South Shore State Park about 25 miles east.
