Wabash River

The Wabash River river rises in western Ohio and, after flowing for 30 miles, the river then travels through northern Indiana, heading south forming the Illinois-Indiana border converging with the Ohio River a few miles northeast of Shawneetown.

Beall Woods State Park on the river just a few minutes southwest of Mt. Carmel, offers recreational opportunities to area visitors.
