Windsor

Windsor is located in central Illinois in Shelby County between Shelbyville and Mattoon along Highway 16 near Lake Shelbyville and Lake Mattoon. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,081, a decrease of 62 since 1990.

The nearby Wolf Creek State Park on Lake Shelbyville about 5 miles to the west of town is enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
