Bloomington is located in
Monroe County (of which it is the county seat) southwest of
Indianapolis along Highway 37 near
Lake Monroe.
Bloomington offers cool shops, unique restaurants, and two wineries. For nature lovers there are three lakes including the states largest, and tons of outdoor action through the states only national forest.
