The Southold Dance Theater is a regional training company dedicated to dance excellence. It offers a pre-professional track of study for the serious dance student. Under the direction of the professional staff, dancers strive to achieve mastery of technique and performance. The curriculum for the school includes pre-technique and creative movement for young children and beginning to advanced classes in ballet, modern, tap, and jazz dance. Specialty classes, workshops, summer dance camps, and master classes by visiting guest teachers introduce dancers to many facets of the art form.
