Frankfort is located in Clinton County (of which it is the county seat) southeast of Lafayette at the junction of Highways 28 and 421.The historic downtown area of Frankfort has quaint boutiques and a diverse selection of merchants. Renovations began in 1985 by the Main Street organizations, which include, paving sidewalks, planting trees, improving traffic signals, and rehabilitating historic buildings. Frankfort is part of the Lafayette, Indiana metro area.
