Limberlost State Historic Site

Located on 6th Street, this site contains the original two-story Limberlost Cabin, home of author, photographer, and naturalist Gene Stratton Porter for 18 years. She designed the 14 room house, built of white cedar logs and redwood shingles, to blend into the environment of Limberlost. Some of her furnishings, personal belongings and photographic works are displayed.
