In 1973 St. Mary Medical Center, Hobart was opened to fill a need for health service to the communities of South Lake and Porter Counties. Today the hospital continues to provide a full range of services for inpatients and outpatients.St. Mary Medical Center is a non-profit hospital operated as a part of the Community Healthcare System, which includes Community Hospital in Munster, IN and St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, IN dedicated to providing quality health services.
