Noblesville

Noblesville is located in Hamilton County (of which it is the county seat) north of Indianapolis along State Highway 37 on the banks of the White River near Morse and Geist Reservoirs.

In 1823, William Conner and Josiah Polk laid out what is now downtown Noblesville. In 1824 it was designated as Hamilton County seat and then incorporated in 1851.

Today there is a wide range of park facilities located within Noblesville. Potter's Bridge Park and Trail is part of an approximately four mile river walk/trail that will link Potter's Bridge, the 150 acre Forest Park and Golf Course, and downtown Noblesville.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 25,983, an increase of 8,328 since 1990. Noblesville is part of the Indianapolis, Indiana metro area.
