This house was completed in 1875. Harrison occupied the 16 room Italianate mansion, except during his term as 23rd president of the United States, until his death in 1901. The house, which has been restored, contains original Victorian furnishings, political mementos and a collection of gowns belonging to both Mrs. Harrison and her daughter. A portrait of President Harrison by T.C. Steele hangs in the parlor.
