Rockville is located in Parke County (of which it is the county seat) west of Indianapolis at the junction of Highways 36 and 41 near Billie Creek Village, Raccoon Lake State Recreation Area and Cecil M Harden Lake. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 2,557, a decrease of 149 since 1990.Rockville is home to the annual Parke County Covered Bridge Festival and features some of the country’s most stunning covered bridges.
