Seymour is located in Jackson County along Interstate 65 between Columbus and Scottsburg. Seymour is near Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, and the East Fork White River.
Located in the south-central part of Indiana, the city of Seymour is commonly referred to as the "Crossroads of Southern Indiana". It is positioned in the heart of four industrial centers and at the junction of two rail lines, and is served by Interstate 65, Highways 50 and 31, and State Highways 11 and 258.
