Askeaton Friary, located in Askeaton village, was built in 1398 by the Earl of Desmond and contains some of Ireland's finest stone carvings. The windows, the wall seat, the triple tomb niches, the nave and the cloister is almost perfectly preserved. Open daily during the season.
