The Andrew Jackson Centre is located in a traditional Ulster-Scots single range thatched cottage adjacent to the seashore. The cottage collection reflects rural
Ulster Province Life including dairying and local patchwork quilts. The exhibition gallery intreprets the life of
Andrew Jackson, 7th President of America whose parents emigrated from
Northern Ireland in 1765. US Rangers Centre is located in the garden of the center. The US Rangers exhibition is dedicated to the volunteer soliders of the First US Ranger Battalions, which were activated in Carrickfergus on 14 June 1942. The collection was donated to the town and contains personal material including photographs, documents, uniforms.
