Galway Bay

Galway Bay is a spacious inlet of the Atlantic Ocean on the west coast of Ireland off County Galway. It is 30 miles long from east to west. It is typically 10 to 12 miles in width, increasing to 18 miles across its mouth. The Aran Islands form a natural breakwater across its entrance.
