One of Irelands most historic properties has been in the Fitzgerald family, hereditary Knights of Glin for over 700 years. The castle is noted for its neo-classic interiors with delicate plasterwork, a flying staircase, a collection of 18th century Irish furniture, family portraits & landscapes. Glin Castle stands on the banks of the river Shannon surrounded by formal gardens, a walled kitchen garden, parkland wood & a 500-acre dairy farm. Guided tours every half-hour during the months of May & June.
