Agra Kansas

Founded in 1851, Population: Population: 306 (2000) and 322 (1990). Located in Phillips County. Agra is located on US 36 in Phillips, [PL], County. The Kyle Railway also serves Agra. The town has gained some notoriety since humorists added the letters "vi" before the name on the watertower.

the town was named after the daughter of an official of the Rock Island Railroad, perhaps one of the daughters of President Low of the Chicago, Kansas and Nebraska Railroad that ran through the town at that time.
