Founded: 1875. Population: (2000) 1,092. Elevation: 910 feet. An incorporated city located in Labette County. Situated on US Hwy-160, to the west of state Hwy-101. On the St. Lotus & San Francisco R. R., 10 miles northwest of Oswego, the county seat and very near the geographical center of the county.
