Supporting the creative growth of its members and area artists. Meetings are held on the third Monday evening of each month, 6:30p.m. to 9:00p.m., in the Lawrence Public Library auditorium at 707 Vermont Street. The first half hour of our meeting covers old and new business of the Lawrence Art Guild with the "Artists' Forum" beginning at 7:00 pm. Throughout the year various shows and events are sponsored by the Guild which provide opportunities for artists to show and sell their work.

02/21 Coming to The Lawrence area Heart of America Shakespeare Festival Kansas City MO June18-July7 The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival is set under the stars in South Moreland Park near Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. It is a perfect way to spend a summer evening with family and friends. They have several programs to study and explore such as Speaker's Bureau and Poster and Sonnet Contest. The faculty includes theatre professionals, actors, and educators experienced in performing and teaching Shakespeare. Many of the instructors are veterans of festival productions.
