Founded: 1868. Population: (2000) 438. Elevation: 1,282 feet. An incorporated city in Saline County. Situated on US Interstate Hwy 135, about 12 miles south of Salina. The town is surrounded by a fine farming country, which is occupied by thrifty farmers. The village was laid out by a town company in June, 1879.
